EuroCC@Greece announces the 19th Course of HPC Training Series with the subject “OpenMP for Shared-Memory Parallel Programming”.     Date: January 26th, 2026, at 11:00 EET   Location: Online via Zoom   Presentation language: Greek   Audience: Suitable for students / researchers / engineers with: Basic C/C++ or Fortran knowledge, Basic familiarity with Linux and batch systems (Slurm), Access to Linux/WSL environment, and GCC compiler with OpenMP support Description:  This seminar provides a practical introduction to OpenMP, focusing on how to incrementally parallelise existing serial code using a simple and portable shared-memory programming model. Participants will learn the core OpenMP concepts, including parallel regions, worksharing, data scoping, synchronisation, and performance considerations such as scheduling and NUMA effects, supported by hands-on examples in C/C++ and Fortran.   More info and the Agenda of the Course can be found here.
