DESCRIPTION:The CSC Summer School brings together students and researchers
  in different disciplines of scientific computing from all over the world.
  The school consist of lectures and hands-on training on parallel programm
 ing\, code performance\, and other necessary skills for the development of
  scientific software for supercomputers.\nGeneral information\nThe school 
 is aimed for graduate students working in various fields of science\, e.g.
 \, chemistry\, physics\, life sciences\, engineering\, or economics as wel
 l as industrial R&D professionals. Also undergraduates as well as post-do
 cs are expected to find the school very useful.\nExperience ten exciting d
 ays of coding and social activities\, creating unforgettable memories with
  new friends under the Nordic summer’s midnight sun\, right next to brea
 thtaking wilderness!\nThe following topics will be covered: \n\nProgrammi
 ng at supercomputer scale using message-passing interface (MPI)\nUsing th
 reading (OpenMP) for programming CPU nodes \nProgramming GPUs with HIP/CU
 DA and OpenMP\nHybrid parallel programming combining MPI with OpenMP and 
 HIP/CUDA (multi-GPU programming)\nPrinciples of efficient parallel input/o
 utput in supercomputers\nApplying learned concepts in HPC and AI applicati
 ons\n\nThe participants will get a certificate containing a recommendation
  to your home university to grant you 5 ECTS credits for the school.\nYou 
 may also want to read CSC’s training stories article with positive exper
 iences from 2025 and 2024. \nLearning outcomes\nThe goal is to build HPC
  expertise up to an intermediate/semi-advanced level during the school.\nA
 fter the summer school participants will be able to:\n\nIdentify main para
 llel programming concepts\nCreate parallel MPI programs with C\, C++\, or 
 Fortran programming languages\nCreate GPU-accelerated programs\nRecognize 
 advanced parallel programming constructs\nRead and modify scientific appli
 cations implemented in C\, C++\, or Fortran and utilizing MPI\, OpenMP\, a
