 he course will be held in English.\nCourse Content:\nScientific visualizat
 ion and analysis are important components of HPC simulation workflows. For
  decades\, data was first saved from the simulation code to disk so that s
 cientists could retrieve the data for analysis at a later time. As the gro
 wth rate between I/O and computing speeds continues to diverge\, this appr
 oach is becoming increasingly time-consuming and costly. In-situ processin
 g helps to overcome these I/O bottlenecks by performing simulation and vis
 ualization calculations with higher spatial and temporal resolution in-mem
 ory and avoiding the transfer of raw data to hard drives.\nThis workshop w
 ill introduce ParaView/Catalyst and Ascent\, two open-source implementatio
 ns that enable in-situ processing. Both packages use Conduit software to i
 ntuitively describe hierarchical scientific data in C++\, C\, Fortran and 
 Python. You will learn how to describe simulation data with Conduit and ho
 w Ascent or Catalyst can be used to transform data\, render images and exp
 ort results.\nPrerequisites:\nExperience in Python\nA personal institution
 al email address (university/research institution\, government agency\, or
 ganisation\, or company) is required to register for JSC training courses.
