DESCRIPTION:HLRS provides leading high-performance computing resources to 
 academic and industrial users across Germany and Europe. This introductory
  course helps users get productive on our systems\, covering the essential
 s of working on the HLRS clusters from your first login to submitting and 
 managing batch jobs. It is aimed at HLRS users who are new to working on t
 he clusters\; no prior cluster experience is assumed\, only basic familiar
 ity with a computer.Over three mornings\, each lecture is followed by a ha
 nds-on session that puts it straight into practice on Hunter: connecting v
 ia SSH\, the Linux command line\, file systems and data transfer\, softwar
 e environments\, and the PBS batch system. The days are designed to be tak
 en selectively. If you are already comfortable in a Linux shell\, you can 
 start on Day 2.The course is open and free of charge for academic particip
