DESCRIPTION:\nOptimize and Scale Python Code for High-Performance Computi
 ng\n\n \nTopics covered \nPython is making inroads into the HPC landscap
 e. However\, writing Python code for efficient scientific computing is no
 t entirely trivial. In this course a variety of techniques and libraries
  will be discussed that are useful in this context. Subjects covered incl
 ude profiling of code to discover opportunities for optimization\, using
 Cython\, a Python extension that translate critical code sections into ef
 ficient C\, wrapping C/C++/Fortran libraries in Python\,  multithreaded/
 multiprocess Python\, distributed programming use mpi4py\, and pySpark fo
 r data science. \nTarget audience \nThis info session is primarily targ
 eted at VSC users\, although other interested parties are welcome as well
 . \nPrevious knowledge  \nParticipants have programming experience in P
 ython and preferably also in C/C++ or Fortran.\nLevel: intermediate \nRe
 sult/Objectives  \nParticipants can make an informed choice on various t
 echniques to improve the performance of Python code\, and know how to cal
 l C/C++ or Fortran functions from Python. \nDates & Location \nY
 ou can take the training online or at the training site.\nYou wil
 l be sent the link a few days before the start of the course.\n24/11/2026:
