DESCRIPTION:Contents\nJoin us for a two-day open workshop focused on the i
ntersection of biomedical modeling and high-performance computing (HPC). O
rganised as part of the dealiiX project\, this event explores the develop
ment of scalable computational platforms using the deal.II finite element
library. The program covers both the theoretical and practical aspects of
simulating complex biological processes\, with a specific emphasis on crea
ting high-resolution digital twins of human organs\, particularly the huma
n brain. Attendees will learn how to leverage exascale computing capabilit
ies and advanced mathematical models to bridge the gap between computation
al simulations and clinical practice.\nTopics covered include:\nBiomedical
Modeling Sessions\n\n\nHigh-resolution modeling of brain tissue and neuro
logical systems\n\n\nCoupled multiphysics and multidisciplinary approaches
for digital twins\n\n\nTranslating simulation workflows into personalised
medicine and clinical diagnostics\n\n\nHigh-Performance Computing and Alg
orithmic Sessions\n\n\nNode-level resource optimisation and memory bandwid
th utilisation\n\n\nMatrix-free finite element algorithms for exascale com
puting\n\n\nSoftware integration with advanced solver technologies (includ
ing MUMPS and PSCToolkit)\n\n\nScalability and adaptation of deal.II modul
es for exascale architectures\n\n\nHands-on Tutorials\n\n\nGenerating high
-fidelity digital twins within the deal.II framework\n\n\nImplementing and
configuring advanced sparse solvers and preconditioners\n\n\nOptimizing c
 omputational throughput and matrix-free implementations\n\n\nPreliminary a

event is structured as a two-day open workshop\, followed by a third day d
edicated to an internal consortium meeting.\nThe workshop is open for part
icipants from academia\, industry\, and public administration from EU or
EuroHPC JU member states or from countries associated to the Digital Europ
e Programme. \nAll attendees are required to pay a flat registration fee
of 65 EUR to cover catering costs (coffee breaks and lunch).\nRegistration
\nPlease register with your official e-mail address to prove your affiliat
ion. Following your successful registration\, you will receive an invoice
approx. 2 weeks before the event. After paying the invoice\, you will not
receive a receipt. If you require proof of payment (e.g.\, for reimburseme
nt) please use a copy of the invoice together with your bank statement ind
 icating the payment.\nMore details here\n\nhttps://events.hpc-portal.eu/ev
