Dive right into hands-on practice and get started with the ROMEO2025 supercomputer. This second session, an essential follow-up to the introductory lecture, will put you in a real-world scenario: by the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to prepare and submit a job on ROMEO2025.

On the agenda: hands-on workshop

Create an account and a project via the ROMEO portal
Generate an SSH key, register it on the portal, and associate it with the ROMEO2025 supercomputer
Logging in to ROMEO? (access, authentication, best practices)
Copying and managing your data on ROMEO
Submitting a job: file structure, resources to request, best practices for queueing, and monitoring its execution
    Loading your software environment

Why participate:

  • A thoroughly hands-on workshop—you’ll leave with practical experience, not just theory.
  • Specific goal: to submit a working job on ROMEO2025.
  • In-person attendance is preferred: being on-site at URCA maximizes interaction and support. An online option is available if you cannot attend in person.
